As a licensed clinical professional counselor in Illinois, I am able to provide counseling and therapy to clients located anywhere within the state of Illinois.
*Please note that all sessions are online only and all clients must be residents of and located in Illinois at time of sessions.

All online sessions are provided via the HIPAA-compliant telehealth video platform, SimplePractice. Most clients like to choose a set day and time to meet each week to start so as to keep momentum towards progress smooth.
Online therapy sessions are very convenient and provided to you in the comfort and privacy of your own space whether it be your home, office, or car (as long as you’re parked and not driving!)
Due to Illinois state licensure laws, clients must be residents of, and located within Illinois state lines during sessions.
All of the same laws, rules, and protections that apply in-person apply to online therapy sessions. Studies have shown online therapy to be just as effective as in-person therapy, often having a higher rate of client participation because of the convenience.

Therapy is an investment in yourself and your wellbeing with far-reaching and long-term benefits.
All therapy and therapy related services are based upon the following current rate…
Individual therapy: $200 per 60 minute session.
Private Pay: This option is available to clients who either choose to fully opt out of utilizing insurance for privacy reasons or are choosing to utilize out of network benefits. Upon request, I provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance.
BCBS PPO: BlueCrossBlueShield Illinois is the only insurance with which I hold in-network status. It is important to note that use of insurance requires a diagnosis. Please contact your insurance provider in advance to be clear about your coverage and to verify that I am considered in-network for your particular mental health benefit plan.

The first therapy session is structured around and focused on getting to know more about you and what brings you to therapy. This first session helps me develop your treatment plan, establish a diagnosis if applicable, and then together we decide on goals that are most meaningful to you. You don’t have to dive into your deepest issues right away. We go at your own pace and in your own way. In addition, you’ll get to learn more about how I’ll be supporting and guiding you along the way.

How long someone needs or wants to be in therapy is different for every person. Some clients stay for a few sessions, and other clients find that they benefit from longer-term support. Since you know yourself best, you will know when you’re ready to graduate from therapy.
Below is a helpful reference to give you an idea of what you can expect:
Short-term therapy: 4-12 sessions
Medium-term therapy: 3-6 months
Longer-term therapy: 6+ months
Maintenance therapy: Monthly check-ins or every-other-month or so check-ins as requested or needed to maintain progress.

Under the law, health care providers are required to give clients who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. If you choose to utilize the fully private pay option, you will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of therapy.
